Bench & Bar Dinner

Join MCBA Wednesday, October 4th at Andiamo's in Bloomfield Township for our 2017 Bench and Bar event, generously sponsored by Allen-Hope & Associates. MCBA members will be joined by Judge James Brady, 47th District Court, Judge Cynthia Arvant, 46th District Court, Judge Charles Goedert, 43rd District Court and Judge Darryl Mazur 12th District Court for a candid discussion on the state of collections and a Q&A session.   Questions to start the discussion are:

1. What can we do as bulk filers to make the clerk’s job easier for processing tax garnishments or law suits?
2. What can we, as a creditor’s attorney,  do to help make the court process run more smoothly?
3. How do we balance providing the court with enough information to satisfy the Court that a valid assignment was made or judgment should be entered but not overwhelming the court with too much documentation?
4. Can the clerk require the in pro per defendant to provide a telephone number so the we can contact the defendant before we come to court?
5. What can we do to make the trial itself more efficient, to reduce the number of witnesses and documentation on open account type cases?
6.  Is there documentation the court like to see that we could provide as an exhibit to the law suit?
